Reducing stress through engagement with nature
Boost productivity • Facilitate learning • Improve health
Chronic stress is the enemy of everything we do. It damages productivity, interferes with learning, causes a myriad of health problems, then cripples our ability to heal.
Forward-thinking companies, schools, and healthcare facilities have come to understand that the presence of nature is restorative, and simply by providing a view of nature they can help people accomplish more, learn more, and heal faster.
Yet beyond passive viewing, active engagement with plants and nature can be far more restorative.
There are a hundred ways to accomplish this. You might provide your people a garden or forest path to walk and relax in, but if they can work with plants, in a flower or vegetable garden or even in their own offices, that can be significantly more beneficial.
As a therapist, consultant and educator, I can help you understand and apply the benefits of engaging with nature in your organization.
